Moore’s Farm Worm Tea Recipe

🌿 Moore’s Farm Worm Tea Recipe - Not For Human Consumption!

Organic Liquid Gold for Your Garden

Worm tea is a nutrient-rich, microbe-packed liquid fertilizer brewed from Moore’s Farm worm castings. It feeds your soil, boosts plant health, and strengthens natural resistance to pests and disease.

🧪 Ingredients for 1-Gallon Batch:

  • 1–2 cups Moore’s Farm worm castings

  • 1 tablespoon unsulfured molasses (or organic sugar)

  • 1 gallon dechlorinated water (let tap water sit for 24 hours or use rainwater)

  • 1 small mesh bag or nylon stocking (optional but helps with straining)

🧪 Ingredients for 5-Gallon Batch:

  • 5–10 cups Moore’s Farm worm castings

  • 5 tablespoons unsulfured molasses

  • 5 gallons dechlorinated water

  • Large mesh bag or paint strainer

🛠 Equipment:

  • Bucket (1 or 5-gallon)

  • Aquarium air pump + air stone (for aerated tea)

  • Stirring stick or spoon

🧃 Brewing Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare Water

Fill your bucket with dechlorinated water. Let tap water sit uncovered for 24–48 hours if needed. Chlorine can harm beneficial microbes.

Step 2: Add Ingredients

  • Place the worm castings into your mesh bag (or straight into the water if you’ll strain later).

  • Add the molasses to feed the microbes.

  • Stir gently to mix.

Step 3: Aerate

  • Drop the air stone into the bucket and run the air pump for 24 hours.

  • Stir once or twice during brewing to help mix.

Step 4: Use Immediately

After 24 hours, your worm tea is alive and ready. Use it within 4–6 hours for best results.

🌱 How to Use Moore’s Farm Worm Tea

As a Root Drench:

  • Water plants at the base for deep soil feeding. Use full strength.

As a Foliar Spray:

  • Strain well to prevent clogging and spray directly on leaves. This helps fight pests and diseases.

Frequency:

  • Use weekly during the growing season or every 2–3 weeks for maintenance.

❗Tips:

  • Don’t overbrew (over 36 hours) – it may go anaerobic.

  • Store unused tea in the shade but don’t refrigerate.

  • Avoid chemical fertilizers before or after application to preserve microbes.
